Devank Dalal’s 22-Point Blitz Fires Bengal Warriorz to Victory Over Patna Pirates in PKL-12 Thriller

Jaipur: The Jaipur leg’s penultimate clash of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 saw a high-octane contest as Bengal Warriorz edged past Patna Pirates 48-42 at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium on Saturday. The game went down to the wire, with momentum swinging both ways before the Warriorz pulled ahead in the final moments.

For the winners, Devank Dalal delivered a masterclass, scoring 22 points, including his eighth consecutive Super 10. He racked up 15 points in the first half alone, the most by any player in a single half this season. Supporting him were Himanshu Narwal, whose late raid proved decisive, and a disciplined defence that stood tall when it mattered.

On the Pirates’ side, Maninder Singh and Ayan fought valiantly, each securing a Super 10 to keep their team in contention throughout.

Patna started strong, with Ayan leading a defensive surge that inflicted the first all-out and gave them a 13-7 advantage. But Dalal’s explosive Super Raid turned the tide, sparking a Warriorz comeback that levelled the scores at 19-19. By halftime, a three-point raid from Dalal ensured a slender 26-25 lead for the Warriorz.

The second half was a see-saw battle, with both teams exchanging blows. At 39-39 in the closing minutes, the match seemed destined for a nail-biting finish. However, Himanshu Narwal’s clutch raid triggered a late all-out on Patna, giving Bengal a decisive edge and sealing the victory.

The result keeps the Warriorz’ playoff hopes alive, with Devank Dalal’s record-breaking show emerging as the defining highlight of the night.
